Modeling power systems

I liked the introduction to the capabilities of Balmorel and appreciation of its limitations but was apprehensive about the over emphasis on VREs especially in the Kenya case outlook without due regard to grid flexibility /security and attendant cost considerations

I was excited to learn what the tool is capable of offering especially its flexibility, customization ability and its robustness

The tool looks quite a good fit for the Kenyan scenario. The fact that it integrates demand forecasting, generation expansion, dispatch simulations and elso allows for transmission sizing makes it pretty useful in Kenya
